The Goetia
The Neophyte studies the various preparations detailed for the operations of Ceremonial Magick. {Study only the methods. Practical operations are recommended to the Philosophus}.

Additionally, two novels by Aleister Crowley are strongly recommended: Diary of a Drug Fiend and Moonchild.

It is important for the Neophyte, after the accomplishment of Liber Pyramidos, to delve into areas of study beyond the scope of any reading list. Subjects that inspire earnest interest, even if they appear not to have any immediate magical application, should be pursued. This is a lesson well taught at the end of the novel Diary of a Drug Fiend.

The Neophyte, when the studies of the grade are properly applied, will radically change perception and begin breathing the life of initiation, incorporating Magick into every event of every day; and this, as a natural result of the work. Inspiring insight into this perception transformed into the momentbymoment life of initiation can be seen in the characters portrayed in the novel Moonchild.
